Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is an engineering discipline that covers several topics related to computation, programming languages, program design, computer hardware and software and integrates several fields of computer science. It is one of the trending subjects which students pursue after completing Class 12. CSE is a four-year undergraduate course which involves various aspects needed for the creation of a computer system.

Career options in CSE include software developers, hardware engineers, system designers, system analysts, database administrators and more. One must have analytical and programming skills, basic knowledge of web design, ideas of machine learning and algorithms to pursue a CSE course.

From computer architecture and organization to software testing, there are various subjects one has to study during this course. students also study cloud computing, database management systems, compiler design, computer networks, data structures and operating systems.

Students who have passed their Class 10 and 12 board examinations from a recognized education board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as primary subjects and appropriate passing marks can opt for this course.

Computer engineering blends computer science and emerging Technologies to further the advancements in digital technology, computer networking and computer systems. Computer engineering principles can be applied to several other purposes, including the development of integrated circuits, embedded systems, computer vision, computer systems architecture, and much more. In turn, computer engineers use their extensive knowledge of hardware and software design and computer programming to make computing platforms and applications more efficient and effective. This course aims at providing intensive information in areas of computer systems, distributed systems, internet of things, Robotics, Computer networks and Wireless networks & communication. By studying this course, the students will have an opportunity to learn tools and techniques to work on the related fields such as robotics, cyber security, and computer-aided design systems.

Career prospectus for computer science and engineering are as Computer Programmer, Computer network architect, System and Network Administrator, System Analyst, Network analyst, Software Quality Tester.

Overview of Department

Yashoda Technical Campus, a unit of YSPM Group of Institutions, was established in the year 2011. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) came into existence from the very inception of the college with the aim of providing inclusive technology education to students from all over India and thereby creating responsible citizens who would contribute to the betterment of their families, society and nation. Initially, the annual intake was 30. In tune with the growing demand profile globally for CSE, the intake level was enhanced to 60 and subsequently stepped up to 120 in the year 2022 -2023. As per university norms, semester system is being followed by with latest CBCS Curriculum (R19).

The department is NAAC accredited and affiliated by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere for UG Program. The Department has the state-of-the-art facilities for various laboratories, a well-equipped seminar hall, Wi-Fi enabled class rooms to support e-Learning, and a department library.
