The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science Engineering at Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, successfully conducted its Board of Studies (BoS) Meeting on 07 August 2026 under the guidance of Dr. Suraj R. Nalawade, Head of the Department, and with the valuable support and guidance of Dr. Vikram Patil, Director of the Institute.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Himgouri Tapase, Prof. Priti V. Sonawane, Prof. Neha Paralkar, Prof. Anisha Chavan, Prof. Payal More, Prof. Akshay Thorat, Prof. Neha Pathan, and the esteemed members of the Board of Studies.

The Training and Placement Cell of Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, organized the Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) – Batch 2027 for Third Year B.Tech students from 20 July to 5 August 2026. This intensive 80-hour offline training program was designed to enhance students’ employability skills and prepare them for upcoming campus recruitment drives.

The training program covered essential topics such as quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, communication skills, group discussions, interview techniques, resume building, and personality development. Through expert-led sessions, interactive activities, and practical exercises, students developed their problem-solving abilities, communication skills, confidence, and professional readiness.

The program was conducted for students across all engineering branches, with an emphasis on active participation and regular attendance. The structured training helped students understand recruitment procedures and develop the competencies required to perform effectively in competitive placement processes.

The 2nd Program Assessment Committee (PAC) Meeting of the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science was successfully conducted on 10 July 2026 with a primary focus on academic planning, curriculum implementation, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), faculty development, quality enhancement, and continuous improvement under the autonomous system. The meeting was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Suraj R. Nalawade, Head of the Department. Dean Academics, Dr. B. M. Shinde, was present for the meeting and provided valuable guidance on academic quality, effective curriculum delivery, faculty development, and the implementation of best academic practices to strengthen teaching and learning. During the meeting, discussions were held on bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations through practical exposure, internships, live projects, and collaborative initiatives. We are proud to share that Loukik Ajit Ingale, a Final Year student from the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Engineering, participated in the Inter-Zone Basketball Tournament held on 24th November 2025 at N.K. Orchid College of Engineering and Technology, Solapur.

On the occasion of its 17th Foundation Day, YSPM, Satara organized a Blood Donation Camp to promote social responsibility and community welfare. The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Engineering students brought laurels to Yashoda Technical Campus by shining at the prestigious Qhills Technology Hackathon, held at Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara, Maharashtra. A talented student team comprising Hardik Kowale, Shreeyash Taware, Sai Bhise, and Devdatta Salunkhe secured the First Prize in the AI Domain, winning a cash award of ₹10,000. Their innovative project, ‘Chat with GitHub Repo’, impressed the jury and stole the show, showcasing the students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical excellence.

The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, has launched a new Robotics–AI Fusion Internship from 4th August to 14th August 2025. The program began with a workshop on 4th August 2025. Students will gain hands-on experience in integrating robotics with AI for applications in automation, smart manufacturing, and intelligent systems. The sessions covered AI-driven robotics, embedded intelligence, and modern industrial solutions.
Principal Dr. Vikram Patil emphasized that such programs connect academic learning with real industry needs, boosting employability and innovation skills. Conducted in collaboration with leading technology companies, the internship offers students valuable exposure to cutting-edge projects.

Students from the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Yashoda Technical Campus, had the unique opportunity to visit the Indian Space Research Organisation – National Remote Sensing Centre (ISRO-NRSC) in Hyderabad for an educational study tour. The visit was organized under the guidance of Dr. Suraj Nalawade (HoD), Dr. Pravin Barapatre, Prof. Himgouri Tapase and Prof. Amruta Sanas. A total of 92 students participated in this enriching experience.
During the visit, students learned about:

1. The use of AI and Data Science in earth observation, environmental monitoring, and urban planning.
2. ISRO’s contributions to satellite technology, remote sensing applications, and national development.
3. Technical insights on satellite imagery analysis, GIS applications, and space technology innovations.

The session also included interactive discussions on ISRO’s latest missions, technological advancements, and career opportunities in the space research sector. Many students expressed their inspiration to contribute to India’s space research initiatives.
