Empowering Future Engineers: Expert Lecture on Tekla and BIM Software
On 12th November 2024, the Civil Engineering Department at Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara organized an expert lecture for second, third, and final-year civil engineering students, focusing on the significance of Tekla and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software in modern civil engineering. The session was led by Suchita Inamdar, Project Manager at PPS Pvt. Ltd., who provided a comprehensive overview of Tekla’s 3D modeling, clash detection, and documentation features, as well as BIM’s benefits in improving collaboration, visualization, and lifecycle management in construction projects. The lecture aimed to highlight the growing importance of software proficiency for aspiring engineers, emphasizing how these tools are transforming the design, planning, and execution of projects.
The event also featured real-world case studies from PPS Pvt. Ltd., showcasing how Tekla and BIM enhance project efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows. Students were encouraged to develop expertise in these technologies to improve their employability and stay competitive in an increasingly digital job market. The lecture concluded with a reminder of the evolving role of technology in civil engineering and the need for future professionals to stay updated with the latest tools to succeed in their careers.

Industrial Visit to Satara Railway Station
We are excited to inform you that the Civil Engineering Department of Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, organized an industrial visit to Satara Railway Station on Monday, 11th November 2024, under the subjects Infrastructure Engineering and Design of Steel Structures for Final Year and Third Year students.
This visit will provide a practical understanding of infrastructure development and the steel structure designs used in railway stations. Mr. Rajkumar Salve (Station Manager) and Mr. Manooj Kumar (Sr. Section Engineer) guided the students and shared valuable knowledge regarding the permanent way, rails, level-crossing components, steel structures, components of station yards, and the foot over bridge.
We encourage all Third Year and Final Year Civil Engineering students to actively participate in this enriching experience. It promises to be an insightful and valuable learning opportunity.The visit was coordinated by Mr.Alfaj Shaikh and Mr.Ajinkya Shah.

“Industrial Visit for Steel Structures at Satara Railway Station, Satara”
The Civil Engineering Department organized a field visit to Satara Railway Station, Satara for TY B Tech Civil students on Monday, November 11, 2024, under the subject Design of Steel Structures. Mr. Manoj Kumar (Senior Sectional Engineer) guided the student with actual working of Steel Truss, Laced Column, Battened Column and different steel components, Components of Foot Over Bridge and to provide students with a practical understanding of civil engineering practices and principles.
The primary objective of this site visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application. Students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the complexities and challenges of real-world projects. They were able to interact with industry experts, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions to deepen their understanding. All TY students were encouraged to participate in this site visit to make the most of this unique learning opportunity.
We are excited to inform you that the Civil Engineering Department of Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, organized an Study visit to Bamboo Plantation at Wadhe Satara on Friday, 8th November 2024, under the subjects Bamboo Construction Technology for Final Year.
This visit will provide a practical understanding of Bamboo Plant Anatomy and its applications for the structure designs. Mr. P.G.Borate guided and coordinated the students and shared valuable knowledge regarding theBamboo plant Anatomy. Final Year Civil Engineering students actively participated in this enriching experience. It promises to be an insightful and valuable learning opportunity.

This event was held in association with the Indian Geotechnical Society Student Chapter, Pune.
The visit provided students with valuable hands-on experience and insights into material testing processes, enhancing their understanding of practical applications in civil engineering of Concrete Technology. This event was held in association with the Indian Geotechnical Society Student's Chapter, Pune. The Civil Engineering Department organized a field visit to building a construction site at Bhuvikas Bank to Old RTO Chouk, Satara and Shahunagar Satara for SY B Tech Civil students on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, under the subject subject Building Construction & Drawings. The focus of the visit was to understand actual construction of Concrete road, Masonry Work and construction of Bungalow so as to provide students with a practical understanding of civil engineering practices and principles.
Visit was arranged by Prof. Shah A S, Subject Teacher for 07 SY Students. During the site visit students received valuable information and guidance by Mr. Prashant Sonmale, Project Manager, Mr. Umakant Jadhav, Site Engineer, Arun Desai Group of Construction, Satara. Student gained the knowledge of construction process of concrete road and its equipment. Further students visited different Masonry work construction for Compound wall and then visited to under construction bungalow at Shahunagar Satara

The Department of Civil Engineering, Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, organized a guest lecture on "Innovative Building Materials in the Construction Industry" by Er. Manish Kasar, Territory Manager - Technical Customer Solutions at UltraTech Cement Ltd., on 18th October 2024. The guest lecture was delivered to over 50 Second Year, Third Year and Final Year Civil Engineering students.
The session focused on the latest advancements in construction materials, including self-healing concrete, ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), and eco-friendly alternatives such as recycled aggregates and geopolymer concrete. Er. Kasar provided valuable insights into the technical, economic, and environmental benefits of these materials, highlighting their role in enhancing the sustainability, durability, and efficiency of modern construction practices.
The workshop was a blend of theoretical learning and practical demonstrations. Students had the opportunity to observe hands-on testing of various construction materials, including concrete, admixtures, tiles, and waterproofing materials, gaining a deeper understanding of their properties and applications. This exposure to innovative materials and testing methods equipped students with essential skills for their future careers in civil engineering. The workshop also emphasized the importance of sustainable building practices, encouraging students to prioritize eco-friendly materials in their projects. The session was an inspiring and informative experience, motivating students to explore innovative solutions and contribute to the growing demand for sustainable construction in the industry. The Civil Engineering Department organized a field visit to building a construction site at Rajesh Motors, Satara for TY B Tech Civil students on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, under the subject Design of Steel Structures. The focus of the visit was to understand actual working of Steel Truss, Working of Crane on the site, different steel components and to provide students with a practical understanding of civil engineering practices and principles.
The primary objective of this site visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application. By immersing themselves in a live working environment, students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the complexities and challenges of real-world projects. They were able to interact with industry experts, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions to deepen their understanding of civil engineering concepts. All TY B. Tech. Civil students were encouraged to participate in this site visit to make the most of this unique learning opportunity.

During the site visit students received valuable information and guidance by Mr. Bharat Bhosale, Plant Head, Mr. Amit Kanase, Project Manager, Rajesh Motors Pvt. Ltd., Satara. Student gained the knowledge of steel components, construction techniques, Gantry girders, lacing and battened columns and Safety of work which is used in the Steel industry.

The Civil Engineering Department of Yashoda Technical Campus, Satara, hosted an enlightening guest lecture on 16th October 2024, titled "Mastering Civil Engineering: From Tendering to Real-Life Construction Projects." The session, held in the Smart Classroom (B-111), featured Mr. Sunil Sankpal, Chairman of the Builders Association of India (BAI) - Wai, and Owner of Omkar Developers & CONSTROTRAIT Material Testing Lab. Mr. Sankpal, a seasoned expert in civil engineering and construction, shared valuable insights with the Second and Third Year Civil Engineering students, focusing on critical aspects of project management and tendering processes. His extensive experience in handling large-scale projects gave students a practical understanding of how academic knowledge is applied in real-world scenarios.
The lecture covered essential topics, such as preparing and submitting bids, understanding bid evaluation criteria, and the common challenges faced during construction projects. Mr. Sankpal also highlighted the significance of quality control and material testing, particularly through NABL-accredited labs, to ensure structural integrity and safety. His case studies and examples from his work with Omkar Developers and CONSTROTRAIT brought theoretical concepts to life, offering students a deeper understanding of the complexities of construction management. The session proved to be an invaluable learning opportunity, equipping students with knowledge and practical insights to better navigate the challenges of the civil engineering profession and prepare for their future careers in the industry. The TECHXPLORE 2024 Poster Presentation Competition, was organized by civil Engineering Department on 15 october 2024 on the occasion Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's birth anniversary.The event brought together students to present their research on cutting-edge topics such as Artificial Intelligence in Civil Engineering, Environmental Impact Assessment, Disaster Management, High-Performance Concrete, and Quality Monitoring. Participants created visually compelling posters that reflected their innovative ideas and solutions to real-world challenges. The competition started with an inspiring welcome, and the presentations were evaluated by esteemed judges, Dr. A.S. Shivde and Dr. D.K. Mahadik, based on creativity, research depth, and presentation skills.
The event was a resounding success, fostering an engaging atmosphere of learning and collaboration. After the presentations, participants took part in a lively Q&A session, allowing for deeper discussions and clarifications of their work. The judges announced the Winner and Runner-up, who were recognized with certificates and prizes for their outstanding contributions. The competition not only provided a platform for students to showcase their ideas but also celebrated the spirit of innovation and creativity in the field of civil engineering. •Attendance below 75% will be considered as defaulter student and Parents will be contacted on timely basis for Teacher Parent interactions regarding students’ progress personally as well as at institutional level.
•HoD motivated students to organize activity in the department under CESA.
•For any student’s issues, it may be personal or academics related, students can directly contact the GFM.
Celebrates Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti with Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
The Civil Engineering Department of Yashoda Technical Campus, Faculty of Engineering celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2024 by organizing a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Inspired by the institute’s focus on cleanliness, students and staff conducted a campus-wide cleanliness drive to honor Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a clean and self-reliant India.
Faculty members enjoyed the cleanliness drive organized by department and institute. Faculty members encouraged students to adopt cleanliness as a way of life, promoting environmental responsibility and community welfare. Cleanliness is an essential aspect of human life, contributing to our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Yashoda Technical Campus, Department of Civil Engineering has successfully organized, Alumni Interaction with SY, TY and Final Year Students on 24/09/2024.
The event featured with a series of discussion activities, including a practical and professional skill requirement to face future challenges in Civil Engineering Industry. The session was guided by Ms. Sayali Shankar Desai, (Kirloskar Industry) She was Alumni of 2021-22 Batch of Civil Engineering. The Future of Civil Engineering: Challenges after post Covid 19 industrial scenario was a highlight of the day, Speaker sharing their insights on practices in civil engineering.

Visvesvaraya, highlighted the significant contributions of engineers to society and the nation.
The celebration commenced with an inspiring keynote address by Dr. Vikram S. Patil, Principal of Faculty of Engineering, Yashoda Technical Campus, who emphasized the pivotal role of engineers in driving technological advancements and fostering innovation. The function started with Saraswati pujan. Programme started with welcome address by TY students Ms. Shweta Kadam and Mr. Sarthak Chaware. Further Prof. C. B. Patil (HOD, Department of Civil Engineering), had given speech for motivation and guidance to all passing out students. The program was further followed by video clips of memories made by SY & TY students. After that final year students who shared their experience about their four-years college journey.
All the activities associated with function were coordinated by Prof. Pawar Vijaya (CESA Coordinator). Program was concluded with vote of thanks by Prof. Shah A. S and was followed by group photo session and lunch.

S., Assistant Professor and Alumni coordinator, civil department, gave speech to the alumni regarding departmental Vision, departmental Mission, PEOs and PSOs of Civil Department, Future plans of department. Alumni guided students regarding current market scenario. Market need and gap from curriculum. Alumni also shared their thoughts to the students. The event was coordinated by Prof. Shah A. S. “Mini Project Exhibition on SMART CITY”
Yashoda Technical Campus, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering has organized model making/mini project exhibition on the topic " SMART CITY " under subject of Mini Project on Thursday 06/06/2024 at 2.40 pm to 4.40 pm for TY B. Tech Civil Students.
The exhibition was arranged to understand the concept of Smart City. All the components of Smart city such as less usage of water, optimizes energy efficiency. Conserves natural resources, generates less waste and provides healthier space for occupants as compared to conventional city, etc are used for model making by different groups. Students prepared model showing Smart City and its different techniques that are already in utilization and some can be implemented in future.
Activity is co-ordinated by Prof. Shah A S under the guidance of Head of Department Prof. Patil C B, Principal Dr, P.R. Badadapure and Director Dr. V. K. Redasani.
In a significant educational initiative, the Yashoda Technical Campus Satara Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering,conducted an enriching one-day workshop titled *“Building Line-Out by Advanced Instruments* (Total Station) on *Saturday 25/05/2024* for the second-year Civil students. This hands-on workshop, conducted by *Mr.Zambhre Shankar ( ZK associates,Starara)* Alumnus of Civil Engineering Department 2019-20 batch. in association with the ISTE Student Chapter and the Civil Engineering Students’ Association (CESA) YTC Satara, aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in the field of civil engineering.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from the students, who were introduced to state-of-the-art instruments and techniques essential for modern construction practices. The workshop provided a platform for budding engineers to understand the intricacies of line-out building and its significance in ensuring structural integrity.

“Expert lecture on Structural Audit Report”
Department of Civil Engineering has organized an expert lecture on the topic "Structural Audit Report" under subject of Structural Audit on Tuesday, 21/05/2024 at 12.40 pm to 2.40 pm for TY B. Tech Civil Students. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Shailesh Pharande, a renowned expert in the field of Structural Engineering with extensive experience in both academic and industry. The lecture aimed to provide fundamental knowledge essential for civil engineering for structural audit of any structure. The lecture equipped students with essential knowledge about laws, IS Codal Provision, Authorities to conduct Structural Audit Report. Students were able to interact with industry experts, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions to deepen their understanding of Structural Audit concepts.
It is hoped that this understanding will enable students to apply structural principles effectively in their future careers as civil engineers. The activity was co-ordinated by Prof. Shah A S.

The Civil Engineering Department organized a visit to Water treatment project at Maharashtra Jeevan Prabhakaran Krishna Nagar, Satara for SY B Tech Civil students on Monday, May 20 2024, under the subject Environmental Engineering. The focus of the visit was to understand actual working of different units of water supply scheme.
The primary objective of this visit was to corelate theoretical knowledge and its practical application. Students were able to interact with industry experts, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions to deepen their understanding of Environmental engineering concepts. All SY B. Tech. Civil students were encouraged to participate in this visit to make the most of this unique learning opportunity.
In conclusion, the Civil Engineering Department is commended for organizing this enriching experience and providing students with a platform for experiential learning. Visit was arranged by Prof. Jadhav S. S. Subject Teacher for 18 SY Students. During the site visit students received valuable information and guidance from Jalpradhikaran team.

Tech Civil students on Thursday, April 18, 2024, under the subject Building Planning and CAD lab. The focus of the visit was on hands-on experience in measurements of the building components to provide students with a practical understanding of civil engineering practices and principles. The primary objective of this site visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application. By immersing themselves in a live construction environment, students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the complexities and challenges of real-world projects. They were able to interact with industry experts, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions to deepen their understanding of civil engineering concepts.
All the SY B. Tech Civil students were encouraged to participate in this site visit to make the most of this unique learning opportunity. In conclusion, the Civil Engineering Department is commended for organizing this enriching experience and providing students with a platform for experiential learning. Visit was arranged by Prof. A. As a part of syllabus requirement the S.Y. Civil Engineering students along with subject teacher Prof. Pawar V P (Asst. Prof, Civil Department YTC, Satara), visited to the Pelton Wheel Turbine at Power House at Yeoteshwar Satara, on 18/04/24, with respect to gain the knowledge of main parts and working of Pelton wheel turbine.
This visit was provided valuable insights into the main parts and operation of the Pelton wheel and a critical component of hydropower generation systems. Pelton wheel was explained as an impulse turbine designed to harness the kinetic energy of high-pressure water jets. Also, students understand the working mechanism of the Pelton wheel and the concept of impulse turbines and how water jets strike the buckets of the Pelton wheel to generate rotational motion. The visit helped to students learn more about Pelton wheel technology used in making hydropower, and it was really helpful.
Site Visit – Under Construction Site, Government Medical College, Satara
The Civil Engineering Department organized a field visit to building a construction site at Government Medical College, Satara for TY B Tech Civil students on Thursday, April 18, 2024, under the subject Design of RC Structures. The focus of the visit was to understand actual working on the site as per drawing of the building components and to provide students with a practical understanding of civil engineering practices and principles.
The primary objective of this site visit was to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application. By immersing themselves in a live construction environment, students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the complexities and challenges of real-world projects. They were able to interact with industry experts, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions to deepen their understanding of civil engineering concepts. All TY B. Tech. Civil students were encouraged to participate in this site visit to make the most of this unique learning opportunity.
In conclusion, the Civil Engineering Department is commended for organizing this enriching experience and providing students with a platform for experiential learning. Civil Department, CESA organises Civil Technical Katta & Technical Magazine at YTC
Yashoda Technical Campus, Department of Civil Engineering in association with Civil Engineering Students Association (CESA) has inaugurated the ‘Civil Technical Katta’ on Tuesday 16/04/2024. In this activity, daily students are going to display one Word of the Day and one Thought of the Day which will benefit the stake holders to enhance the English Vocabulary and groom the students through technical quotes (thought). Also, under this activity students and staff of Civil Engineering Department are going to exhibit the technical articles, publish the department’s activity, faculty/students achievements.
Inauguration of “Civil Technical Katta” was done in presence of Dr. V. K .Redasani (Director), Dr. P. R. Badadapure (Principal), Mr. Ganesh Survase (Registrar), Mr. P. P. Gavade (Principal Polytechnic). Dr. V. K. Redasani sir given best wishes to the activity and appreciated for initiating such activity. “Memorandum of Understanding”
Department of Civil Engineering, Yashoda Technical Campus, has signed Memorandum of Understanding with Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) on 12/04/2024. The MoU is intended to recognize the general basis for a Civil Engineering and market condition of construction field. The Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) is well known NGO and research field in the stream of Civil Engineering.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Udaykumar Phatak, Chief Operations Officer, (COO- Technical) of Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF). He gave information about Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (PCERF) and how this MOU is going to benefit the students, faculties, and Institute.
This MOU is going to facilitate collaboration with industry partners for research, funding, and practical project implementation, enhancing students' exposure to real-world challenges. This MoU will often lead to knowledge exchange through seminars, workshops, and joint research initiatives, fostering innovation within the department. The interaction of technology and water management becomes more and more important as population growth and environmental concerns increase. The purpose of this webinar is to investigate creative approaches and tactics to deal with these water conservation problems.The program was conducted in association with the Indian Geotechnical Society Pune Student and YTC, Satara.

Yashoda Technical Campus, a beacon of technical education in Satara, celebrated the inauguration of the Indian Geotechnical Society Students’ Chapter on Friday 15 March 2024 ,in association with IGS Pune chapter. The Department of Civil Engineering hosted this landmark event, which promises to enhance the academic landscape for aspiring geotechnical engineers.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests from the field of civil engineering and academia. Prof.Suman Jain,Er.Ramesh Kulkarni,Dr.Krisnaiha, Er.Deepali Kulkarni,Vice-President Prof. Ajinkya Sagare, Director Dr.V.K. Redasani were present as Guest.The chapter was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the unveiling of the chapter’s mission and vision by the department head. The event also featured a lecture by Dr.Sachin Jain, industry experts who discussed the topic Application of AI in geotechnical engineering.
Students and faculty members expressed their enthusiasm for the new chapter, which aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. “This chapter will provide our students with invaluable exposure to the geotechnical engineering community and its practices,” said one of the professors from the Civil Engineering Department.
The Indian Geotechnical Society has been instrumental in promoting geotechnical studies and research across India. With the establishment of this new student chapter, Yashoda Technical Campus joins a network of institutions dedicated to advancing the field and nurturing the next generation of engineers.

Civil department has organized study tour on 1st March to 3rd March 2024. The tour was planned at almatti dam, hampi city, tungbadara dam. 27 students from SY and TY of civil engineering department visited this tour under the guidance of Mrs. Pawar V P and Mr. Shah A S. The tour consists of the study of different dam like Almatti Dam (largest dam of Karnataka) and Tungbhadra Dam.
The Study tour consists of study of textures, structures and geological features of rocks. Then students visited places having ancient archeological places such as Vijaya vitthal temple, Parsanna viru paksha temple (underground shiv temple), Jal mahal, Lotus mahal, Elephant stables, Hajari ram mandir, Pushkarni, King palace, Queens bath, Laxmi narsimha temple, Badvi Linga Shiva temple, Sasivekalu ganesha, Virupaksh temple.

Item No.3: Teaching and Learning Process: Curriculum gap, content beyond syllabus, Innovative practices.
Dr. Amol Pote Academic expert enlightened the process of identifying the curriculum gap from DBATU University syllabus. He explained innovative practices used by faculty members in the academic year 2022-23 for improving Teaching-Learning process. He elaborated new methods are incorporated such as smart classrooms, industry sponsored labs, additional technical courses etc. in order to improve teaching-learning process.
Item No.4: Course Outcome (CO) and Program Outcome (PO):
Assessment methods, Attainment of CO, POs, PSOs with program effectiveness. Action taken for outcome attainment.
Presented CO, PO, PSO attainment of last academic year 2022-23 and it is compared with academic year 2020-21 and 2021-22.
Committee suggested that, for the subjects (Courses) where CO is not attained, action plan is to be prepared by respective course coordinator. Also, it is suggested that Course Exit Survey to be collected after the declaration of University results for each course. Course Outcome attainment should be evaluated during Academic Audit of the department.
Item No.5: Parents meets:
As per the previous parents meet experience, the count of parents to be present was very less. So it was suggested by parent Mr. Jitender Jangam that, instead taking group parent meet we can plan for individual parent meet with GFM and HOD.

Mr. Sohal Khan (Alumni) shared his experience when he was a student, he was having less confidence of stage so he could not give better presentation during seminar, project. Department of Civil Engineering Organised 3 Days State Level Faculty Development Programme on “Advancements in Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering” in asssociation with Indian Geotechnical Society (Pune chapter) &ISTE faculty chapter,YTC Satara.
The event, hosted at online platform from 28/12/2023 to 30/12/2023 offered as a platform for industry experts, scholars, and enthusiasts to delve into the forefront of Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering. A thorough investigation of these specialized fields was provided by the program, which was dedicated to promoting innovation and knowledge exchange.
The event commenced with a thought-provoking inaugural address by Dr. Anil Joseph (President,Indian Geotechnical Society) a luminary in the domain of Geotechnical Engineering. Their address underscored the significance of technological advancements and their influence on modern infrastructure development.
The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Vijaya P Pawar. and Mr.Alfaj N. Shaikh with organising committee members Mr.Borate P.G., Mr.Shah A.S. and Mrs.Jadhav S.S.
Distinguished speakers and researchers led engaging technical sessions, spotlighting pioneering research, emerging trends, and technological innovations in Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering. Topics spanned the Investigation of accidental Studies on National Highways and Expressways by Dr. Raviraj Sorate, Enhancement of Engineering properties of Laterite soil using biopolymers by Dr.Shailendra Banne, Role of Geospatial Techniques in DisasterManagement: Soil Drainage Study using SWAT by Dr.Sudarshan Bobade.

Prof, Civil Department YTC, Satara), visited to the RCC Site of Satara Nagarparishad, Satara, on 04/11/2023, with respect to gain the knowledge of Pre-stressed Concrete in construction, Stressing by using jacketing techniques, Usage of crane at site, Mivan technology in construction.
This visit was mainly focused on to understand the procedures involved during Pre-Stressed Concrete construction of building, the technology and the equipment’s used on site. Aakash Jadhav, T & T Infra, Satara Division, explained about the construction techniques, precautions during construction. He explained detailed procedure for PSC slab and its grouting technique. He also explained about the maintenance of the equipment and ethics considered during construction

Prof, Civil Department YTC, Satara), visited to the RCC Site of Yashoda College of Pharmacy at Wadhe, Satara, on 12/10/2023, with respect to gain the knowledge of Concrete in construction, different RCC Element, RMC Usage on site, Formwork detailing, Steel Placing and Stub Column.
This visit was mainly focused on to understand the procedures involved during RCC construction of building, the technology and the equipment’s used. Prof. Shah A S explained about the construction techniques, precautions during construction, Drawing and its specification and Placing of Steel with concrete cover blocks. He also explained about the maintenance of the equipment and ethics considered during construction

The competition aimed to provide a platform for students and professionals to showcase their research and projects in various engineering disciplines.The posters were evaluated based on criteria such as content, presentation, innovation, and clarity. A panel of esteemed judges, comprising industry experts and faculty members, assessed the entries and selected the winners.The winners of the competition were announced during the closing ceremony of the Engineer's Day celebration. The Posters Presentation Competition not only provided an opportunity for participants to showcase their skills and knowledge but also encouraged collaboration and networking among engineering enthusiasts. It served as a platform for exchanging ideas and fostering innovation in the field.Overall, the Posters Presentation Competition was a valuable addition to the Engineer's Day celebration, promoting excellence in engineering and encouraging students and professionals to strive for innovation and excellence in their work.For Poster Presentation Competition Principal of Engineering Dr.Prof.Badadapure P.R.was available as Chief guest. Yashoda Technical Campus Satara, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, organized an Expert Lecture on "Drone Technology and its Application" under the ISTE Students chapter and CESA club.During his lecture, expert speaker Mr. Bajirao Nangrepatil ( Assistant Accountable Manager and Drone Instructor) discussed the various applications of drones across different sectors, including agriculture, disaster management, surveillance, and delivery services. He emphasized the potential of drones to solve complex problems and enhance efficiency in various industries.he lecture also shed light on the challenges faced by engineers in developing drone technology, such as regulatory frameworks, safety concerns, and public perception.Overall, the Engineer's Day celebration and the expert lecture on drone technology were a resounding success, inspiring young engineers to explore new frontiers and contribute to the advancement of technology. Voter's registration camp, 29/08/2023, Talathi from Wadhe Mr. Patil and Mandal Adhikari Mr. Ghadage Ajit and BLO's was present whole day, Principal. Dr. P.R. Badadapure graced the occasion and done felicitation of Govt. Authorities. Prof. Borate P. G. (NSS coordinator, Engineering) Coordinated the event and also Prof. Shaikh A.N. worked as co-coordinator as an ISTE students chapter coordinator. 46 students (i.e. 29-Male and 17-Female students) done the registration and made this drive successful one.

“Youth Engagement in Water Stewardship (YEWS)”, 09/08/2023, Mr. Borate P. G. have Guided Satara District's 29 Program Officers in YEWS (Youth Engagement and Water Stewardship) programme (2023-2025), running in joint venture of Government of Maharashtra, Department of Higher And Technical Education, UNICEF, ACWADAM, CEE and why waste? App. Prof. Borate P. G. ( Master Trainer ) addressed the program officers at the programme.
All Nodal officers from government authorities were present at the programme. Prof. Khalid Bagwan welcomed the audience, Principal Government Polytechnic, Karad, Prof. Patil sir addressed the audience. Mr. Aditya Jadhav from ACWADAM was present for guiding the Master Trainers.
Civil Engineering Department bid farewell to its final year students, while simultaneously welcoming the incoming batch of second-year students. The event, held on Saturday, 05/08/2023 in Yellow Seminar hall, in association with CESA Club, was filled with emotions, nostalgia, and excitement for the future.The farewell ceremony commenced with a speech by the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Prof.Patil C.B., who praised the graduating students for their dedication, hard work, and accomplishments throughout their academic journey. He emphasized how they had grown into skilled engineers and expressed confidence in their bright futures.The event also featured inspiring talks from distinguished alumni who shared their experiencesand success stories. These alumni served as a source of motivation for both the graduating studentsand those just beginning their journey in civil engineering.All Department faculty members Prof.Borate P.G., Prof.Shah A.S., Prof.Lembhe S.S. alsoshared their experience with students and encourage for bright future. The guest lecture on the "Indian Constitution" organized by the Department of Civil Engineering in association with ISTE Faculty and Students Chapter on 16/05/2023 at 3.00 pm for Third Year Engineering students. Advocate Aditi Bipin Kasar,Satara was available as a Guest speaker. Principal of polytechnic Dr.P.R.Badadapure felicitates to guest speaker. Brief introduction of guest speaker's was given by Prof.Shaikh A.N.(ISTE member secretary),for this lecture Prof.Borate P.G.(Head of Civil Department),Prof.T.R.Shinde (Head of Mechanical Department) and department faculty members and students were present. The lecture provided a comprehensive analysis of the Indian Constitution, its history, and its impact on society. The speaker covered fundamental principles such as fundamental rights, directive principles of state policy, and the federal system of government.
Department of Civil Engineering organised a FDP on "Sustainable Building Materials & Practices".
As the conventional Building Material sources have certain limitations and limited life span usage.Government of India is also promoting the sustainable materials in order to meet the demands from growing industries as well as urbanization. This FDP aims to discuss different Sustainable Building Materials and their applications in different allied fields. This program will serve as a common platform for those who are working in Building sector to share the knowledge and interact with the participants belonging to academia as well as industries.
Objectives-
1. To explore Advanced Building Materials to be used in Construction field.
2. To study Diversifying usage of new practices in Civil Engineering field.
3. To understand Sustainable Building Materials and their appropriate application in the Construction Industry.
4. To discuss alternatives available in the area of building materials and day to day usage in variuos practices.
